It’s Different

"Delivered today so gave it a quick try. First impressions compare to a traditional 5 blade Wilkinson type razor. It felt solid to pick up, handle a lot shorter than expected but balances well in the hand. The shave different feel agressive at all. Hair facial wasn’t much as I only shave yesterday and it felt solid smooth I wondered if I had the blade in, but then with a first rince in the bowl I could see all the hairs. Early days but I think I’ve got a new friend in this with many more enjoyable shaves to come."

Superb shave, great item

"This is my first DE safety razor after shaving for 37 years with cartridges. I therefore have nothing to compare it to in terms of other safety razors, but this was a total joy to use. No hesitation in recommending this wholeheartedly. Attention and care are required in use, but it's an excellent way to make an otherwise tedious daily experience into something pleasurable. I enjoyed a superb shave on first pass. Revelatory. And God knows how much money I've wasted over the decades on plastic crap that just ends up in the sea. This is old-school of course, but it's also very much the future in terms of longevity and recyclability of peripherals. Absolutely brilliant product, thank you."

Muhle works better than other brands

"Well, I bought this Razor and it worked great. Shortly after I bought another slightly less expensive safety razor to put i my travel bag, that looked very similar , manufactured by a very well known UK manufacturer. The second one cut me to bits !. . Same blades. Result of the unintended test is that the Muhle razor gives brilliant results. Worth the extra money."

Muhle R89 ‘Closed’ comb

"After 40 years of wet shaving, and using the same type of cheap razor but double edged blades throughout that time, I decided to buy something a little more professional. The muhle R89 with closed comb is ideal. A substantial piece of kit in your hand and feels solid, reassuring and looks good too. The actual shave is smooth, as are the results. I can’t for the life of me understand why I have never invested in a razor such as this. Excellent feel and quality, does what it says and fits the Wilkinson Sword Classic DE blades. There is nothing not to like"
